New design for the NORM heat pump – plated steel has been used instead of a plastic “chassis”, along with R32 refrigerant.
The NORM pool heat pump offers significant energy savings compared with traditional pool-heating methods. The key difference is the high energy saving achieved by extracting heat from the air.
An air-source heat pump extracts heat by transferring thermal energy from the air to the supercooled refrigerant inside the heat pump. Compressing the refrigerant with a compressor generates heat, which is used to warm the pool water.
