Buying a hot tub is a decision for ten or more years, so it is worth taking time over the choice. In this guide we will take you step by step through everything essential — from size through location and technology to running costs, warranty and service. 1. How many people will bathe
The first question is the number of people. For a couple or small household, a compact one is enough hot tub for 2–3 people, for a family the ideal model is for 4–6 people. Allow a reserve for visitors, but do not buy an unnecessarily large hot tub — a larger water volume means higher heating costs. 2. Where to place the hot tub
Outdoor and garden hot tubs place it on a reinforced terrace, paving or concrete slab that can bear the weight of the hot tub filled with water and people. Consider three things: access for transport and placement (often by crane), proximity of the electricity supply and the option to drain the water during a change. For a smaller terrace, choose a compact model; for a spacious garden you can have a larger hot tub with a lounger.
3. Technology and equipment

4. Running costs and insulation
The biggest impact on consumption comes from the quality of insulation and an insulated thermal cover. A well-insulated hot tub keeps the water temperature even in winter at reasonable cost. The heating method is also key — Heat pump has significantly lower consumption than a direct heater. Always ask about the real consumption of a specific model, not just the power input. As a guide, the purchase price of IDOL hot tubs is roughly from 3 310 € to 11 580 € excl. VAT — depending on the model range, size and chosen equipment. The exact price is always determined by the specific configuration, which you put together non-bindingly in the configurator.
Prices are excl. VAT. The final VAT rate depends on whether installation is included in the delivery.
5. Warranty, production and service

Most models are outdoor, but a hot tub can also be placed indoors or in a conservatory with proper ventilation and water drainage.
How big a hot tub fits on a terrace?
A compact 2–4 seat model fits on a regular terrace. The key factors are the load capacity of the base and space for operation.
What warranty do you give?
We provide a 15-year warranty on the acrylic and 5-year on the construction. We manufacture in the Czech Republic with service nationwide.
