The price of a counter-current pool depends on the technology
In a counter-current pool, it is not only the size that matters, but also the performance of the technology, the quality of the tub, the insulation, the type of covering and the complexity of the installation. A cheap solution may look good at first, but the difference will be reflected in swimming comfort, noise, maintenance and operating costs.
If the pool is to be used for regular swimming, rehabilitation or family wellness, it is worth comparing a classic counter-current pool and a swim spa. A swim spa has technology designed as a whole and is often better prepared in a smaller space.
The price also includes construction preparation, covering, filtration and service access. Therefore, it pays to deal with the entire project at once, not just the price of the tub itself or the pump performance.
Counter-current power
In the IDOL SPAS swim spa, swimming is ensured by powerful counter-current pumps (2× or 3× 3 kW depending on the model). Not only power, but also the width and uniformity of the current are decisive for comfortable swimming — you can adjust the intensity according to your fitness, from recreational swimming to sports training.
Maintenance of a counter-current pool
Maintenance is similar to a hot tub: regular filtration, pH control (7.2–7.6) and disinfection, rinsing the filter cartridge and changing the water according to the load. The thermal cover significantly reduces heat loss and surface contamination. More details in the article water maintenance.
